Cheraathukal

Here’s a cover version of the popular Malayalam film song, Cheraathukal by my husband and I. The original music is composed by Sushin Shyam, my brother’s good friend. Hope you enjoy this version.

Paramaathmudu Velige

This is one of my favorite krithis of Saint Thyagaraja that is an ode to the ultimate power, the Universe/Nature/God/Creator/Life. We can call it many times but there’s one super power that rules us all and this song is a tribute to that power.

My husband and I did a version of this krithi a few years ago and we named the track, Brahmatvam.

Hope you enjoy both these versions.

Brovasamayamide Ramayya

When Deepa and Gayathri akkas taught this krithi to me, I was struggling to reach the higher notes in the anupallavi, I vaguely remember. I had to reduce the shruthi back then to not strain my throat. Even now, the higher notes in the charanams give me trouble however, I believe I have done my best to do justice to the composition.
